struggle for an unobstructed life
Waiting

She has this harvested expectation
Of underwater emotions,
Perverse and natural --
A translucent, subtle life.

And she, a complex weaver
Of unresolved fierceness
Betells an entangling web
Of bold margins …

Yet, the recognized dedication
She feels toward unknown protests
(Muttering enough within)
Still asks a hefty price.

Her thought: “Do Nothing.”
Yet she sees the inflated significance
Around her enduring trophies,
Against her protective interests

As she waits for the willing water to recede.
