sadness, perspective
Such is the Landscape of My Days

A gong strikes
Throughout the day…
A flute weaves with
The spiral wind…
There is emptiness
And great sorrow
About the land…

This is a period
Of my life
When the waiting
Is a funeral recital
Where depression is withheld
For formal affairs…
While the gong and flute
Wade through my tears…
