The Wedding.

I wonder which way this will go,
as I am rocking to and fro.
Anticipation`s taking over,
will I soon live a life in clover?

It`s quarter to and almost time,
and then the toast with a glass of wine.
But first, the vow to have and hold,
before I place on her hand gold.

While I wait a little more,
and I am thinking, am I sure?
What do I do? I`ve changed my mind,
my God! she`ll think I`m so unkind.

It`s time, she`s here, she`s at the alter,
the question`s asked, I must not falter.
I can`t say no, think of the guests,
so with a lump in my throat. I just said yes.

It`s her turn now to say "I do."
let`s get this over, we`ll see it through.
Then she looked at me, her face aglow,
and to my delight, she just said, "NO."
