I was smoking and a look at the ash tray gave me an idea to write something about it.
          Ashtray

I light a blunt with passion
to rest after another long day
from dire mistakes to learn
a world to create from peace

As the blunt burns out,
On the ashtray I stub
another bud, ceased and dropped
among the ashes of altered thoughts

Thoughts flow out with intention
to break the illusion of invincibility
whether man could win over everything
or would it be the greatest fall

Compassion from within to have,
Humanity felt when touched,
Is it more to ask for-
a society sans hypocrites?

The ash tray reminds me again
of man and his overwhelming greed
The Invincible is not him but the Nature
Who smokes us not more than the fag end.
