A Poem about one way to please the Lord. . .
Whenever I plan a party,
You give lots of advice.
You list the people I should not invite.

Sheila's got an ugly nose.
Lauren can't afford nice clothes.
Maggie's acne-ridden face gives you a fright.

Elizabeth's too quiet.
Cheryl never shuts up.
Patti eats too much; She's fat.

Russell's a loser, whatever that means.
Bob's retarded.
And Alex wants to be a writer. Can't have that.

But you forget that I'm a Christian.
And all these people are God's children.
Rejecting them will make him unhappy.

So, I'll invite them to my party.
And I don't think it will be so bad.
Each one will get a great big hug from me.

Yes, I am doing the Lord's work,
But I don't think it's enough.
There is one more thing that I must do.

So, I'll bear the heavy cross.
And I hope it pleases God.
To my party, I'll invite you.
