A collection of memories and experiences captured through the mind’s eye of a sailor.
On a lone destroyer that was not affiliated with the main 7th fleet battle group; the crew of 320 would set out onto the open ocean and venture from its berthing in Yokosuka, Japan.  Traveling throughout Southeast Asia and to far off lands.

Every few weeks of no land in site, the ship would come out of the storms and rough seas and pull into a port to resupply.  After long sleepless nights out to sea keeping the ship in the best of shape and standing watch down in the engine room; it was time to go out on liberty for a few days, free to explore and experience many different countries and cultures.
