I wish you goodness and happiness too, But something has happened to me and to you.
Something Has Happened
I know you want funny and I like it too,
But something has happened to me and to you.
Is our dance really over, did the music stop,
Did the fat lady sing; did the big ball drop?

We had something special, I believe in my heart.
Actually, I sensed it from the very start.
I felt it each time you were wrapped in my arms,
Through all of the seasons and all of the storms,
From the first hug we shared, and the moment we kissed
I knew holding you I could not resist.

Now maybe we’re traveling down that final road,
The end is in sight, the story’s been told,
Of two hearts that passed when they needed a friend,
Of a love that was gone before it began.
I’ll never forget the time that we shared,
Of a love unspoken and never declared.

This poem may be simple, unworthy of time,
But I’ll always treasure those moments of mine,
When we were together, wrapped safe in your arms,
Your tender kisses and irresistible charms.
I wish you goodness and happiness too,
But something has happened to me and to you.
