I don't write much poetry and don't usually share it but would like comments on this one.
A dark light drew me in,
Made me love and made me sin,
I tried to run, I made you blind
But you could always read my mind.

The blood ran free as you drank my soul
I've never known such warmth, such cold
All meaning suffers atrophy
Nothings found inside the fallacy

Hope means fear, fear that’s free
Trapping the rest inside of me
I pull the string to find the end
On this one thing can I depend?

Lend me strength to see this through
I never can repay what I need from you
Hold the hands tied behind my back
And keep me safe from your attack

You show me who I want to be
You shrink what’s there inside of me
I am a million pure white doves
Turning red as they shed their gloves

Sapphires show all I need to know
A joyous life so filled with woe
Is this the ways it’s meant to be
Does love skew and twist reality?
