Day 9 Poetry Entry to the Birthday Bash Contest
I pressed my hand
To my heart
And felt it beating swiftly
I read the note
Once more and felt
Your words go plunging through me.

I wondered why
You failed to see
The importance of your face
To stand before me
Take my hands
And explain your fall from grace.
