It is my entry for a contest
Conversation With God:

The questions unfurl from unfettered curiosity,
No answers or responses a veritable monstrosity,
I utter words from a well deep within,
Why O God is my mind plugged up again?

The answer you seek resides in a different part,
That which is required is humility and a pure heart,
I give you my "Word"in the end I'll come through,
Just hang on to my hand a new vision pursue.

Reluctant God I am to enter into your graces,
So many trials and beleaguered expectations,
I walk toward your voice feeling so much in debt,
What about good news of a place that I might rest?

The taste in your mouth proceeds from your favorite plate,
As you prepare a tennis serve I am with you as you ace,
I am with you as you share with your woman love,
I am much more than the God who dwells far up above.

The answer you give God I did not at all expect,
The only thing I had thought was to long for my death,
When I see you in joy rooting for my best,
I decide and determine that us two can be blest.
