a poem about life
Images of brighter days flicker teasingly on my eye lids
But when I open them all I see, is another impending crisis
Frayed by reality, shredded bits of a human being
Pieced together with duct tape, and aloe to hide the sting
On paper, perfection, a temptress to them all
In truth just disgrace, not even worth the fall
A perfect angel, with more demons than hell
As the halo collapses, brimstone and ash are all that prevail
