Just a wondering
Today I sat and wondered,
As I gazed up to the sky.
This thought I often pondered.
What would happen when I die?

Will I get up to heaven?
And if I do arrive there,
Will there be any horsemen?
Will a “two-step” fill the air?

Will there be a horse corral?
Will there be a cattle herd?
Is there a cowboy chorale?
With their western singing heard?

Will the spring bring a round-up?
Will the calves be branded “hot”?
Coffee is from a tin cup,
Use a rag to grab the pot.

Will there be a rodeo?
Will the broncos kick and buck?
Will I be where the cowboys are?
Cowboy heaven, that’s my luck!
