Spare a thought!
It's early morning and the sun already burns,
Last night the sound of screaming echoed around everyone.
Babies cry, babies die, parents kneel in prayer,
Please God, do you hear, this cannot be fair.

Imagine waking up with only instinct to survive,
And journey for food and water barely alive.
Even as they're born it's already too late,
Their dreams of a normal life begin to disintegrate.

I can't believe this happens in a the world with you and I,
To think we all live under the same blue sky.
If only things could change and tomorrow could bring hope,
Where lives no longer hinged on whether they could cope.

If we won't believe then, why even bother?
We can stick our heads in the sand and forget our sisters and brothers.
Or just remember that millions are tired and hungry,
We must never forget, to help this desperate country.
