Fighting Texans
Pink Bluebonnets

Those men were so brave from long ago
The legend still stands for us to know

A sacred place that holds all the ghosts
And knows the numbers of those lost

Overwhelmed with courage and faith
All refused to leave this sacred place

Those who fought and died on that day
Left their spirits that will never go away

A sorrow born from the blood that was shed
That spilled into the river turning it red

White Bluebonnets grew by the river you see
Turned pink as a reminder for you and me
