Karim's Mother has Died
Karim is in America
Knock, Knock
Who is there?
I am death, and I came to make you aware.
What do you want today, oh death?
I’ve come to take your Mother away.
Oh, please not my Mother, and Not today.

Knock, Knock
Death, I told you to go away.
I can’t leave without her, her soul is required today.
Death, I am in America, and oh so far away.
I am sorry to hear that, but today is her day.

Knock, Knock
Death, Can’t you just give me a little time?
Time has run out, and she is ready to go.
I am her son, and I am so far away.
Live a good life, and you will see her again, some day.

Knock, Knock
Death, I yield, please have your way.
No need to yield, I took her already.
I know, she came to me and said goodbye.
Spirits are like that, they do not die.

Knock, Knock
I am in America.
She knew, and she flew like a dove to kiss your cheek
I know.  I felt her in my sleep.
Then rest well, do well, and miss her if you must
I am Karim, and I am in America!

Rest well my Mother and travel with grace
Your soul was required and you left me today!
