Two birds and a cat on a windowsill.
I have to say it provided a thrill;
from creatures wee truth arrived once to stay.
Two birds and one cat on a windowsill.

When I awoke I perceived morning chill;
it was about in the middle of May.
I have to say it provided a thrill.

Went to the window and there I stood still;
species by nature at odds had their say.
Two birds and one cat on a windowsill.

Cat claimed that it was his nature to kill;
but he decided to not kill that day.
I have to say it provided a thrill.

The birds then tweeted of their flying skill;
yet despite fear they would not fly away.
Two birds and one cat on a windowsill.

Theirs was the essence innate of, “I will;”
lucent and warming like a solar ray.
I have to say it provided a thrill;
two birds and one cat on a windowsill.
