Gingerella

Landi wiggled in her seat as her glasses slid down her nose. She slouched over her closed textbook. Her hand gently pulled her golden hair behind her ears. The teacher darted his eyes around the room and saw her.
“Landi! Tell me what the capital of Charleston is.” He sat in his chair, throwing his feet on his desk, making her jump at the noise.
“Um,” she began. She was cut off by a rude cough of another classmate.
“Um, is not an answer, you have to make a choice.” He said. He took his feet off the desk and jumped up to pull down the map.
“You didn’t give me a chance to answer,” she began. The kids began to laugh and she turned red.
“Look, Gingerella is crying!” Davis yelled. The class began to snicker.
Landi felt her body shut down. She didn’t say anything. She couldn’t talk. She felt warmth flood over her body and she jumped up out of her seat. Knocking her books and desk over.
“Stop!” She screamed. Davis got up and walked over to her. He toward over her, making her feel small. For just a second she thought about backing down, but that made her even more furious. She couldn’t help but to think of all the times he was mean to her.
“What are you going to do, Gingerella?” He said in a mocking tone. Davis grabbed her arm and slung her to the floor.
She ran and grabbed her bag, pulling out a gun that was already loaded and ready. She turned to Davis.
“Now, lets start with a simple question, what’s my name?” She screamed in a taunting voice.
“Land—” he began.
“Wrong!” The gun fire rang in everyone’s ears sending them in a frenzy.
