its real......
I watched you from my window

watched you swaying in the wind

so small and insignificant

I was truly unimpressed

you disappeared so quickly

I wondered where you went

but soon I saw the branch

where you had first appeared

there was something different

I knew it was you again

my how you had changed

I saw that you were eating

my tree it must be tasty

you certainly were not pleasing

to the naked eye

I shook my head and left you

eating continually

the wind blew against the window

and made me think of you

I looked to try and find you

it seemed that you were gone

but in your place there was another

strange and lifeless thing

the wind it blew and the rain fell hard

but it did not matter

to the dark and rigid husk

I fell asleep and woke again

the sun was shining bright

I stretched and yawned

and looked outside

and I saw you being born

you fought and strained

with all your might

I thought you might not make it

but in the end you busted free

and as you hung there trembling

I watched you show the world

the beauty of a life reborn

too quickly after you emerged

you spread your wings and flew away

I lay back in my bed

and my thoughts they were of you

strange to me how you so small

changed the world I live in
