A poem about synethesia [sense crossing] Form: GENESIS A Writer's Cramp Entry
Sunrise Sensations

I taste the sunrise; pale pastels
play on my palate sweetly.
I close my eyes, yet my mind dwells
on the flavors of the dawn.
The morning light has cast its spells
and Iā€™m entranced, completely.

Each day begins with wonderment
as my senses play their games.
I hear bright colors never meant
to sing their melody.
Lying here, I feel content
with sounds that have no names.

I feel the warmth of saltiness
as tears flow from my eyes.
It wraps me in a soft caress
that words cannot describe.
Iā€™m blessed as senses coalesce.
Each day is a surprise.
