To change the world with your hands.
Hands

To turn back the hands is a life consumed with regret,
but, fast forwarding hands is a life wanting to forget.
Yet, if we allow them to go hand-in-hand we can live
here and now and treasure the present.

To hand over yourself completely to another
by playing into their hands
is to not lift a finger
to discover yourself.

To think on the one hand;
and then on the other
is to not bother
to use your hands completely and freely.

To fit like a glove in society's game
is to cover oneself
and hide all the pain
to become all the same.

To judge a person by
calling them an 'old hand'
is to ignore the hand
in front of your face.

To unclench our fists
and to lay our hands down:
including all fingers and thumbs
so nothing is lingering, is to
change the world bare handed.

So, let's all lend a hand, no wait,
better still let's give a hand to
all those around us
and expect nothing in return
except may be a pat on the back
with an open hand.

With that, may all our hands be open,
bare, and flat with nothing on the tips
or in between, so they are ready to work
and be filled with the hands of many others.
