Shakespearean Sonnets to Ponder... The Perfect Sonnet Contest
Seeking Redemption...

Calm days and happy memories - long gone;
As truth comes in to claim all earthy joy.
'Tis such a duel-edged sword I stand upon!
My wayward ways turn inward to destroy.
Oh woe the martyr - steeped in selfish pride;
Who flails and also falters, seeking light.
A once demure and pure, untouched young bride -
Who yearns for lust - unbridled - in the night.
There looms a haze conjoining flight and foe,
Where lines grow thin – integrity - long lost.
For now there is a debt to which I owe -
A charlatan, adrift at highest cost.

With self-effacing prayer - I turn to Thee…
Thy lost one begging help -- reclaiming me.
