A boy and his family move into an old house but something about that house wasn't right.
It was our first day at our new house. It was rather large but also old. The floors creaked everytime I took a step. "Well, looks like I won't be sneaking out anymore" I joked to myself.

By the time everything settled down, it was 9:30 so I just decided to lay down and relax a bit. However I did eventually end up falling asleep.

About an hour later I got woken up by creaking downstairs. I figured it was just my mom or dad still awake so I got up to go see what they were doing.  When I got to the first floor all the lights were turned off. At first I thought it was kind of creepy but eventually shrugged it off thinking it was just the old house settling in and went back upstairs to go back to sleep.

The next morning I woke up to the smell of eggs and bacon so I got up and went to the kitchen. By the time I got there my dad was sitting at the table drinnking coffee while my mom was cooking breakfast.

"Hey, were either of you down here at about 11 last night?" I asked.

"No" They both replied.

"Oh. Well I heard creaking last night so I was just wondering."

"It was probably just the house setteling" My mom exclaimed, "After all the house is old."

"That's what I thought" I replied while pulling the chair out to sit down.

"Anyways, your mother and I have to leave in and hour and won't be back until tomorrow afternoon" He said, took a drink of coffee and then continued, "Are you going to be okay staying here alone?"

"Yeah" I answered,

After my parents left I just sat in room not knowing what to do. I didn't get the time to meet anybody yet so I just stayed home bored. About a couple hours later I got hungry so I went downstairs to go make something to eat. When I got to the kitchen I heard something moving in the basement so I grabbed a flashlight to go see what it was. When I reached the basement something felt strange. It was undescribeable. It kind of felt like something was watching me from behind so I turned around and that was when I knew something about this house just wasn't right...
