The wedding is planned by the husband to be.
When a Man Loves a Woman

Giddy in love were they, eager to tie-the-knot
On Valentine’s Day.

Cara’s work was grueling and ran late,
So Nick said, ‘I’ll save the date.’

Cara agreed, as long as it was simple she didn’t object.
The last thing she wanted was a train wreck.

Just remember, no YMCA or chicken dance.
Everything should be all elegance.

So he made up his mind to do some research
While planning the menu, he chooses perch.

And what about flowers, violet, red, or yellow?
So he selected all, and thought him a savvy fellow.

In fine form he bought a heart-shaped cake.
It would be delicious, a lot was at stake.

He needed something special, maybe a dove,
And then got an idea she would certainly love.

Nick picked out a song he wanted to sing,
And punched the air. He felt like a king.

He would save the best for last,
And at the end of the eve would be a blast.

And when the day finally arrived,
Cara was taken completely by surprise.

Most things were gaudy and hardly elegant.
Cara enjoyed, because it was Nick she did want.

Until the Oompa Loompas showed up.
