I wrote this a few years ago when life sucked.
She's got a rage deep inside,
She's got a rage in her she can't deny,
Threatening to break the chains that hide,
To show the fears that wish to cry.

All the fears have been set free,
While the terrors and sorrows beg for release,
If they join those circling beneath the sea,
The terrible beast will never cease.

The thoughts running through her mind,
Are those that will never get to fade,
She wishes in the cutting of a vein,
But knows it's best to stay away.

Guarding a heart from aching,
The rage is all that helps to hide the pain,
And the smiles that she's faking,
Hide the insane, treacherous rain.

She's fighting hard with all her might,
To keep these thoughts and actions apart,
But she has nobody to be her knight,
To guard herself from her heart.

She re-opens and makes these scars,
And the calmness comes with the sight of blood,
And these thoughts fill the need for suicide,
But she will go on her lonely way; un-rescued.

She's waiting for that final day,
When she gets to stop all the screams,
When the memory of pain is taken away,
And she no longer has to rely on dreams.
