A debate with one's self the consequences of perseverance of trials or giving up.
I try my best, fighting for life
I need to surface to stay alive
Its dragging me down to its depths
If I give up now will I be dead?

Its taken time to come this far
And the road behind it is so dark
Standing at crossroads, I’m being pulled apart
All my monsters followed to take my heart

Step forward, I see what I want
It’s gonna be hard, to shake those thoughts
Cuz some thoughts are so strong, they are more
They create a life to belong that they’ll fight for

I am so feeble from all the beatings
Can I win this battle, it’ll be sustaining
But like I said this isn’t a game
In the end, only one will remain

I’ve given it time, scurried along with my head down
But stop on a dime it’s caught up with me now
The climax is wound, time for the end
If I give up now, will I be dead?
