Slice of life
I spat out the last of the water that recollected itself again at the bottom of the cleanly washed cups in the sink. I pour the coffee and
carefully add the frothed milk. With a clean spoon from the shelf I briefly stir my cup leaving the spoon in hers taking it to couch where we happily join each other.

With a hop a skip and a jump my most favourite animal in the world will jump in between us and with my hand softly touching the smiley face eagerly reaching towards mine, I will almost feel his warm breath on my skin. And as I will run my fingers through his thick, almost spiky hair down towards the side of his body, he will look sideways dropping his tongue.

And then, he will leave or not, or growl gently when I pull him closer or not, or he will not leave or not but what I do know, or not, is that these mundane moments are cherished by more souls, or not?
