short crime story
JOE TAYLOR

The CEO leaned forward over his desk.

“FBI? I’ve been expecting you. Knew you’d catch on sooner or later.”

“Yeah, too many deaths, even for a hospital chain. But why?”

“Asia….booming economy…..lots of rich businessmen…….not enough transplantable organs.”

“So what about Joe Taylor? Where did his organs go?”

“Joe Taylor? Who knows. Why Joe Taylor? What’s he to you?”

The “agent” slipped a pistol from his jacket.

“Don’t point the gun. I’ll come quietly.”

“Oh. I’m afraid you won’t be going anywhere.”

“But…No! You’re an FBI agent!”

“FBI? Actually, I’m Joe Taylor’s brother.”
