distinction between what is said and what is done
I held your hand by the sea.
You swore to me you'd never leave.
I played with you on the mountain top.
You promised me our love would not stop.
I laid with you beneath the desert sun.
you told me you would never run.
I drove to you in the autumn glow.
you said to me our love will grow.
I kept you warm through the winter snow.
you pledged your love for me to know.
spring time came and I was told.
you know I love you but I must go.
now summer is coming from you I have not heard.
your actions have spoken louder than words.
At first I was lost and confused.
Then I was angry at your little muse.
Pain and rejection soon set in.
Then the healing part begins.
Now I am proud of the fact that I know.
I no longer miss you as your memory folds.
I laugh and I think just how absurd
Missing you is
when your actions speak louder than words.
