Being trapped and helpless.
I awake into darkness with fear, unfamiliar voices penetrate through the door I am trapped behind. I begin to tremble uncontrollably as I hear the eerie sound of young woman screaming, then silence. The thoughts filling my mine, the images of the young woman I heard, yet have never seen.Is she clinging on to the very breath that gives her life?. I begin to thrust my palms against the door trying to free myself.
A dark voice without feeling, echoed from the walls where I was confined to. Again the thoughts, the images of this psychotic man holding me against my will, played over and over in my mind. Who was this young woman that just stopped screaming, and this man shouting? Again I hear the sounds of screaming"no mommy help me mommy". I begin to beat on the door in a rage, thrashing my body back and forth trying to free myself.
With my mind in chaos, I hear the sound of the door unlocking. My eyes slowly opening, hovering over me was the blurred image of  a man telling me "Johnny, we are all done".  As my eyes began to focus I notice a young woman with a mouth full of dental gauze, and a little boy reaching for his mommy.  My mom with her Brooklyn lisp telling me, "see Johnny the Dentist isn't so bad is he"? With a sigh of relief I responded to my mom, "it was nothing". I swore to myself that day, I would never!  Go to a dentist again.
