A story about an a child's imagination
"I don't like it here" said Megan pointing her head towards her gigantic new house. "But you haven't even been inside" her mother continued "Maybe you will like it more than you think". True, the house was in a desolated spot and there were no houses near-by because it was a tiny village but the house was indeed very pretty.

As Megan was exploring the house she noticed that every room was exactly the same except for the room on the top-left, it was not renewed unlike the other rooms and still had an ancient touch to it. It was this room Megan liked the most. As she entered it one evening she saw an old lady seated in the far corner. "Hello Megan" said the lady "please be my friend". And as she had no friends in the village she readily agreed and decided to keep her a secret as her parents would not like the idea of anyone new entering the house. She soon became fast friends with the lady and would tell her all her problems and would listen to many stories from the lady. Megan would see the lady only in that room.

As the days past by her parents noticed that most off Megan's complaining was gone. She seemed to like it here. One day when her mother was passing the Cave( A name Megan had given to her favorite room), she could hear Megan talking. She went in and asked to whom she was talking."To the old lady in front of me Mom !" said Megan. But to her mother's surprise, there was no lady in the room. She got frightened and decided to talk to her husband about this, however he disregarded this as her imagination play-friend. But after few such incidents she could not take it anymore. She approached the village doctor that lived near-by. The doctor informed her that Megan might have a disease in which imaginative people would become real in front of some people and would require medications.

Megan however was not ready to accept that the lady was all in her mind. She refused to take medication and would not stop crying. The lady's presence was comforting to her as she had no other friends of her own. The lady, as she told Megan previously owned this house years ago and was forcefully asked to leave because of her children. Megan's mother however would be sure to give Megan medicines. Megan finally had to give in.

As time passed by, she saw less of the old lady and often cried in her memory. Soon she even forgot how her old wrinkled face looked. She had been cured. But the lady was something she would always remember. Because she could acquire anything in the world but the lady was a thing of the past and she could no more reach her. This sadness was something she had to live with. In her heart she would always remember her.
