I wrote this this afternoon as a gift for my friend and thought it was rather good.
When time is rushing past me.
When life is taking over.
You are the perfect time out.
A coffee, a beer and a smile.

When the world is quick to judge.
When it's all been too much.
Your laughter is my medicine.
You tease and heal my heart.

My beautiful friend.
Every dig tells you
How much you mean to me.
I appreciate you till the end.

Don't forget when time is rushing past you
and life has been too much for you.
I will always be there for you.
A coffee, a beer and a smile for you.
