this went in a weird and disturbing direction
with every waking moment
I think of you,
the color of your eyes
the scent of your skin
the taste of you—
bittersweet and strong.
I want to swallow you,
to leech your flavor
from the air
until it consumes me.

you’re the only object of my dreams
the ruler of my sleeping realm
while I am only
your sacrifice,
your high priestess,
your monarch.
you make my dreams
into reality,

don’t leave me.
I won’t live without you.
your absence is a bleeding wound
in the world
that I refuse to bandage.
let the world bleed with me,
until all that remains
is a lifeless husk
a tumbleweed in the wind.
