2:30am thoughts.
I need you to know
that I am not depressed.
I still smile at the sight
of two people falling in love.
I still live to feel
the sun radiating onto
the small of my back
in the summer.
Yet at 3am I am all alone and
there is no sun to keep my thoughts away.
My insecurities like to dance in the moonlight
and engulf me
into a sadness so deep,
I often cannot find my way out.
But just as suddenly as I am lost,
the first rays of sun break the darkness.
Bringing with them the
hope of a new tomorrow.
