Companion piece to "Virtue

Envy
Jealous of what someone else might own
Causes seeds of discontentment to be sown
Don't covet anyone else's things
It's not worth the unhappiness it brings

Gluttony
Always hungry, always eating
Never sated, never fleeting
Don't wait until you're off the bluff
Know when to say you've had enough

Greed
Money's not the only vice
For which this sin exacts a price
Always determined to get more
Will cost you in this spiritual war

Lust
Characterized by intense desires
Fanned flames and burning fires
Weakness leads you to enmesh
In sins of the mortal flesh

Pride
The original sin of vanity
Is most likely to challenge your sanity
The one from which other sins spring
And the one with the sharpest sting

Sloth
Some may think you're kind of crazy
For desiring to be a little lazy
Just don't let it get out of hand
Lest your responsibilities go unmanned

Wrath
Roiling anger, wretched hate
Often carries heavy weight
It can be difficult to offload
Once you've let it corrode
