A brief summary of the true driving forces behind humanity.
When asked what drives humanity, what's the meaning of life? Some people will say to love and serve the lord, well I'm not religious in the least so for me that one is out the window. Others may say the driving force behind humanity is love, compassion and hope, again that one is out the window for me. The answer is simple and you may hate me for saying it and to be honest I don't care if you do, but the true driving forces are greed, desire and lust that's what drives humanity.

You may work if you do great, now would you like to have a bigger salary? Well I'm sure the answer to that one is yes but hold on a minute if you're happy with your love and compassion and you're truly contented then why on earth would you need a bigger salary? The answer is simple because you want something that you don't already have and that my friends is greed talking to you. How about a new car or house yea sounds great doesn't it again that my friends is greed talking.

You may want to quote the bible to me “love thy neighbor and love thy god” well mankind always multi tasks with that one in the same way I can love ice cream and I can love toast. People say that feelings of greed are sinful well that pretty much means none of us are going to heaven, but what about the Buddhist monks I hear you say they are contented, well actually no they are not they have the desire for enlightenment. In the bible apparently it is written “let he without sin cast the first stone” so I guess no stones are going to be thrown at all.

As I am sitting here at my laptop enjoying a cheap bottle of red wine I'm thinking to myself I need a faster laptop that's my current desire. If you can tell me that not once has a thought like that crossed your mind then I think you should apply for the position of Pope because I can guarantee 99.9% of you can't tell me that.

There is an old saying and it is seen as a cornerstone in philosophy “I think therefore I am” well that statement is incomplete it should be “I think about myself therefore I am” Have you ever wished ill upon someone else maybe a boss or even a friend then you have just had the desire to make them fail.

To summarise this whole document what I want you to take away from this is not to lie to yourself about your values and morals and to learn to accept that the true driving force behind you and the rest of humanity is greed. You may hate me or even despise me for what I have written well I would welcome comments.
