A Dark poem on the passing of a life.
As we reflect back on our lives, alas
We remember the sweetness of our youth
The carefree moments of unbridled play
Future hopes and dreams we gathered each day

Time marched, ripped fragile hearts broken in two
Life invaded that place where light was seen
Turned a grey and hazy hue that broke us
Sending us to hiding with fear and fuss

Now we rest again in time forever
Buried deep within unforgiving ground
Hopes and dreams die with us shriveled and gone
Time stands to honour then move slowly on
