poem about feeling down and out and trying to navigate my way through my early twenties
I need to know, that my life didn't go to waste.
I lost all hope once they had tried to close the case.

Thought about giving up, been left hung out to dry.
Lost all of my stuff, but still I can not cry.

Want to be forgiven, for all the pain that I have caused.
He'd have to send Jesus back again to die upon the cross.

Cause when your down, with no chips left to cash.
Walked all over town, they still think I am trash.

So pull up your boot straps my boy, hold that chin high.
Gonna find my way sweet girl, build you a mansion in the sky.

Quit looking down, cause things are always going to get better.
No need to frown my dear, this ship was built for stormy weather.

Now I see the shore, our family's out there standing.
Worry no more, our vessel's finally landing
