Lucario's suspicion is high when Gaath shows up at Ignus.
Ignus, unknown date

I stared in shock as Gaath stood before us. He held out his hand in a friendly gesture towards Thornton, but I stood beside Anemoi and glared at him with distrust.

"Anemoi, if I hit this guy, don't be surprised." I mutter. Gaath turns to me and holds out a locket.

"Oh, and your girlfriend says hi." He says with a sly grin. I snatch the locket away.

"What's that supposed to mean?" I growl. Thornton holds his paw out and gently guides me backwards with a little push.

"Don't mind him. He didn't trust my buddy Anemoi, either. Now they're great friends!" He says as he continues to speak with Gaath.

I stare at the locket. How did he get this? I knew it belonged to Absol, mainly because it shone like the moon's pale light. Upon opening it, a music box-like song began to play. It had a haunting tune that sent chills through my body. I enjoyed the chills, and the song soothed my soul. My suspicion mounted when it occurred to me that Absol always kept this locket close to her.

"How did you get this...?" I ask Gaath. He shrugged.

"Your girlfriend gave it to me and said for me to give it to you." He replied. I stood up and straightened my back, giving an imposing appearance.

"That's a load of bull. I want the truth!" I growl. Anemoi pat my shoulder.

"Lucario, something tells me you can't handle the truth." He says. Gaath nods.

"Listen to your friend, boy. The truth is too much for you." He says with a low voice.

Immediately, I grab his jacket and slam him against the outside walls of The Starting Point Inn and scream.

"Where did you GET this?!?" I roar, angrily scowling at Gaath. His smug grin made me want to backhand him. I half-expected him to throw me off of him. To my surprise, he calmly turned to Thornton.

"Would you kindly tell your friend to let go of me? He obviously can't take a joke." He said innocently. I felt something grab the scruff of my neck as I'm pulled backwards. I stumbled as I was dragged off of Gaath.

"What is wrong with you? You never act this way!" Thornton interrogates as he lets go of my neck. I snort angrily and fold my arms.

"Gaath is the guy I was talking about! This guy almost killed Absol and tried capturing me! He's evil!" I insist. Thornton glances at Gaath and back to me.

"He doesn't seem that bad. I bet you're overreacting." He says. "You're making our first impression a bad one. Just sit over there and we'll talk later."

I sit down in the grass and stare at the locket.

"Don't worry, Absol. I'll find you. I promise." I think silently as I put the locket around my neck.

Thanks for reading! Remember, this was before Gaath was known as a villain by everyone! I'll continue making more soon!
