I wrote this poem at midnight, which is ironic.
I sit outside sometimes to feel the wind
Glowing embers of daylight pass the coming day
Underneath the canopy of endless dreams
Feeling the warm air as it passes my way

At times I sit out there looking at beauty
When the birds start their tune
And at night I see the shadows
Of the moths that dance in the moon

It is my solace that keeps me alive
As I watch heavens creation unfold
Here in the dancing waters of a pond
I see the stories that have not been told

The bees hold their buzzing noise
As I drift into another scene
Here where time and patience exist
Is really my ultimate dream

Take a step out in the open
Where there is no worries nor cares
Holding onto every breath I take
And making my amends seem fair

So take a walk in my shoes
For there is much to see
The balancing I need to control
And this is where I ought to be
