Caring for a friend
On her face sits the weight of Grand Cooley Dam,
While shrill tornado alarms blast in her ears,
Her red swollen nose feels packed full of Spam,
Her festering eyes balls swim in their own tears.

My poor dear friend in that unfortunate state,
I serve you my chicken soup of empathy,
Two prayer pills to relieve pain, please take,
Now rest and I'll sing my song of sympathy.

I'll keep working on an arrangement to allow
Ways to buy, steal or borrow all you suffer,
It breaks my heart that you feel poorly now,
Hold on dear, for the fight will make you tougher.
