What it means, how it hurts. How it can be such a great thing and also such a hurtful thing.
A friend is one of the greatest things you can have and one of the best things you can be. We go through this life making, and losing, friends. Sometimes people you hold very dear change suddenly and very gradually vanish from your life. They pass you in the street and look right through you as if through a glass window or they don't look at you at all which hurts all the more. It feels horrible, knowing that you relied on these people to get you through trials and tribulations just brick up all you have shared and experienced and forgets you. Yet deep down you know that they can never forget, no matter how hard they try and block out the memories they will whisper their way into their minds, making them remember, making them listen. Tiny snatches of memory will come to them in the moments they need them most. You will be with them, helping them, loving them, supporting them, and trusting them in some way. Always.
