My love and my life crumbled in an avalanche of red.
Red is the blood that covered her face
When the rage in my eyes has fled.
Red is the cloth that conceals her gaze
The remorseless stare of the dead.
Red are the eyes of the revenge she sent
Of the demon within my head.
Red are the stains on her tainted intent
The malice of tears unshed
Red is the sound of her dying voice
Red is the taste of her flesh.
Red is the warmth of her sprawled visage
Red is goodbye unsaid.
Red is the bitterness of my regret
And red is the truth that she's dead.
Red is the sorrow in the tears I shed
For red is the truth that she's dead.
