Whipping stripping

Wily wind

Blows the trees

To bare again



Spinning spiraling

Leaves down the street

Haplessly clinging

To all that they meet



Breezy Blustery

The fall wind blows

Stings the face

And the tip of one’s nose



Darkness descends

And shadows stretch long

The days so much shorter

And too quickly gone



Summery sunshine

My hearts desire

As I sit restless and pining

By a warm cozy fire
