A little girl gets the best Christmas present ever.
Christmas Came on New Year’s Eve

There’s something that I want for Christmas
so I wrote this note to Santa today:
Please Santa, I want a little sister,
but a brother, I guess, would be okay.

With a sister, we could play with little dolls,
dress them up and sleep with them in bed.
And by the way, I’ll also need a stroller;
do you think that you could fit one in your sled?

“Mommy, can you mail this letter for me?
It’s important, please mail it right away.
I know you’ll like what Santa brings me;
you and Daddy pray about it every day.”

Christmas morning, the little girl awoke,
looked beneath the tree and all around,
but she couldn’t find her little sister,
just the stroller was all that she had found.

In the week that followed Christmas
Mom and Dad seemed very pleased.
“There’s a gift we want to give you,
but you’ll get it New Year’s Eve.”

When the eve of New Year came,
she got the present she had missed.
The baby they adopted was delivered;
now she had the little sister she had wished.
