A poem for a loved one. Helping each other in times of need.
Maybe someday you'll see the world,

Without the smoke and mirrors.

See yourself through crystal eyes,

Without bias and tears.

Maybe someday we'll both see,

Ourselves through the other's eyes.

We'll see the beauty in ourselves,

And finally realize.

Here we are together,

Too broken to stand alone.

But knowing we'll have the other,

And that fact is set in stone.

With all our quirks and oddities,

Our past selves haunt our minds.

But we are moving forward,

And leaving the pain behind.

I'll take away the hurt from you,

I'll take away your pain.

I'll replace it all with love,

And I know you'll do the same.

I'll teach you to see the world,

Yourself and others too.

Through clarity and open eyes,

Because I love you.
