A little boy thinks someone may have mixed his wish

WISH MIX

A boy wishes for a brother and gets a sister instead

Dear Stork Man,

I got a little sister,
Can we change her for a brother?
Nobody would notice
We all look like my Mother.

It’s just a brother’s what I wanted
When I set this plan in motion.
I guess when you were making him
You mixed in the wrong potion.

‘Cause instead I got a sister
In a pink and frilly dress.
What I wanted was a little boy
Who likes to make a mess.

Girls are just so clean and prim
They never do anything neat.
They do their hair and prance around
with pink things on their feet.

I wanna boy who'll chase me,
Around the muddy yard.
Not someone who looks pretty
Dancing in her leotard.

I want someone to dig with,
who'll eat smelly gross mud pies
Someone to race my cars with...
Wait! This is a surprise!

My little sister Katie,
Is playing in the dirt!
She just picked up a real live toad,
Oh I hope she won’t get hurt!

I'm running out to save her
From this harmfully scary beast
"Hang on Katie! I'm coming!"
(My heart beat has increased!)

But Katie, she is laughing,
She isn't scared a bit!
She's holding that toad without a care,
Most girls would have a fit!

But not my little sister
So proud of her I am!
Thank you for this wish come true,
Love, your good friend Sam!
