A free-style poem about accepting one has changed, and embracing the unknown.
How did I get here?
When did I age so much,
Change so much?
Gone is my youth, with its dreams, cares, and woes.
Yet, as I mourn the person I once was,
I embrace the one I have become,
Along with the mistakes,
The lessons learned,
Knowing there will be
New dreams and
More memories,
All in pursuit of
Knowing the ending,
Happy or otherwise,
Of this true story I live out each day.
