Chapter2 Kody is an angel and Danny is a devil, they're trapped in another world what now?
Chapter 2

Kody's head was throbbing as if someone was proding him with a sharp spear every second. Kody placed his hands on his head then screamed like a wild banshee. Danny then appeared beside him and grabbed his wrist roughly.
"What are you doing here?" She hissed. Danny was looking down on him as he sat with his knees digging into the dark wet ground.
"I followed you here." Whimpered Kody. He looked up at her only to see her looking away with tears running down her rosy red cheeks.
"I really thought it would work you know... Thought that we could go home..." Danny let out a deep sigh. She then yanked Kody up off the ground so he was standing up beside her.
"Hey it's okay we all make mistakes, even us." Kody wrapped his arms around her trying to comfort her as much as he could.
"But that's not the point, we need to get back!"
"Shh stop shouting, i'm right here there's no need to raise your voice." Kody spoke softly to her. Kody pulled away from her slowly then looked down at her face.
"Turn around for a sec"
"Why?" Danny asked curiously.
"Just do it you nutter." Kody let out a small laugh then Danny turned around.
She was wearing a black shirt with long sleeves and a black skirt along with her black tights. She had small shiny black boots on with no heels that were tied with a perfect double knot. On the back of her black shirt were two large rips on the upper back.
"Haha, just as I thought" Laughed Kody with a cheerful smile.
"What is it?" Questioned Danny.
"You've got two large rips on the back of your shirt from your wings." Kody laughed some more at her.
"What?! Really? You have no idea how many shirts i've ruined with my wings." Danny giggled then stomped her boots on the muddy ground playfully.
Kody softly placed both palms of his hands against her back where the rips in the shirt are. From the sides of Kody's hands you could see a small yellow glow coming from underneath as he cast a spell to repair her shirt. Underneath his hands he could feel the fabric of her shirt slowly repairing itself as if it never ripped in the first place. Kody slowly removed his hands from the back of her shirt to check that there was no more rips - there were none.
"Well thanks I guess." Danny thanked him quietly.
"Anytime, mostly cause you're too dumb to do it yourself." He gave Danny a large toothy smile and snickered at her. Danny seized his wrist again then started to walk away pulling him with her.
"Where are we-" Kody tried to talk but Danny just cut him of.
"Shut up."
Danny kept on walking as Kody trailed behind not saying a single word. As they kept walking the surroundings were all the same, the dark muddy ground, the grey lifeless sky and the dead rotting trees of the forest. The branches were sharp as knifes as they pointed out in every direction as if they were waiting to attack at any moment. There were none bright colours to be seen from any direction the only colours that seemed to exist here were dark colours.
"I'm an idiot" muttered Danny to herself as she walked around in the dead forest which seemed like it may never end. Danny fell to her knees and began to cry like a little baby.
"We can't go back to Earth." Kody's voice was cold.
"But we can't stay here!" Danny shouted through another wave of tears.
"Several people will have seen us, not everyday do you see a portal, a devil and an angel. They are just humans, they're not magical like us."
"I don't want to stay in this hell!" Danny kept raising her voice.
"Never thought i'd hear a devil say that."
"Oh shut up, you never thought angels and devils could be friends." Kody looked down at Danny then spoke again. "Well, you're the first devil who isn't trying to kill me for once."
"I need you." Whispered Danny.
"Don't make me feel used, i'll leave right now if you make me feel like that." Kody sounded slightly hurt.
"I'm a devil, i'm not meant to be nice to you."
Kody turned around then walked away not looking back. Kody was sick of walking so instead he focused his magic into summoning his wings back. He screamed out in pain before the wings had even appeared yet. The place they were in seemed to have the same affects on angels and devils as Earth did. Every time he tried to cast a spell or simply try to summon his wings it took more power and it caused different levels of pain. It felt as if he was trapped in a small room but soon as he started casting a spell it started closing. Wrapping itself around his body getting tighter and tighter but at the same time his magic is fighting against it. Pushing against the room like he was fighting for his own space , gradually he would manage the spell. The room would stop then, but it would get smaller a tiny bit making it harder to cast his next spell. His wings began to pierce through his skin which caused him no pain at all, the pain was only coming from casting the spell in this place. His wings were now fully out, and then the pain was completely gone; He no longer felt like he was trapped within a room. Kody's wings were the same length as his arms stretched out if you doubled the length of them. Kody's pure white wings stood out in this dark dead forest. He turned around at the sound of running footsteps, Danny was running up to him with her wings out too. Kody didn't say a word to her he just smiled and nodded. Kody stretched his wings out then slowly started to lift off the ground, Danny done the same. Kody threw his arms out too as he flew up into the air, he done a summersault in the air then stopped messing around and just hovered over the forest. The forest trees were high, very high, but still Kody and Danny could go ever higher. Kody looked around slowly, so did Danny. Everywhere they looked was the same dead forest that they were just in. They even looked above them, nothing was there either. Not even a cloud, just the same dull grey lifeless sky.
"What now?" Asked Danny
"I don't know..." Kody answered slowly, he looked around some more but as Danny looked back at him, she could no longer see any hope in his sad eyes.
