Step into the shoes of someone different and experience the thoughts of revealing a choice
I'm different, yea i'm different
Not just a song, but the story of my life
Pretending to be someone I'm not
To please those who would turn against me
Years of love built up become nullified by engraved hate
How do you find the strength to come forward?
Do I confess to it? or Hold it in?
If its not okay in "the book" , is it really a sin?
We are taught many things from beginning to end
One thing we leave out is the difference in our life trend
The trend you develop from infancy to adult
Is not meant to be the same because it made from one's self
Gradually developed narrow points of view
Molds a hand of uniformity that binds
Tightly entrapped within political lines
The loss of difference rules the majority
Like stepford wives they blend to conformity
I rebel to statistics and decide to follow my own trend
Breaking bonds and habits that may never mend
The freedom of choice feels like a breath of fresh air
To be comfortable in your skin and exhibit no care's
I walk with my head held high, as a DIFFERENT human being
No need to categorize me, my trend has never been seen.
