Love is a wound that will not heal, but do you want it to?

Maybe I should stop and think,
Maybe change direction,
But here I'm standing now,
What is the question?

Do I love you, or
Do I love you not?
I feel my skin crawl,
Chest in a knot,
Butterflies pumping through my veins,
Cupid threw down his arrows,
And bore his fangs.

That cheese-ee moment,
When I stand there frozen,
I feel my mind tripping,
Now my heart is limping,
Got some battle scars,
All across my heart...

First scar, the first letter of your name,
First sight,
You might as well had your name up in lights,
Instant fame and admiration,
No one to blame but myself for falling in love with you,
Over everybody else.

I got your name inked across my soul,
Time has finally taken its toll.

For the other scars,
They're fatal wounds,
They make me swoon,
They're for every second,
Of every day,
Every moment I'm with you,
Every trial we've been through.

So yes,
Forget the rest,
I love you,
There is no question,
Just the nervous hesitation,
Of someone who is in love,
Doing everything they can,
Just to impress you,
Maybe even hold your hand.

So I hold my head high,
Feeling like any second I might die,
But until then every second, is
Truly, madly, deeply...
Dedicated to you.
